Very good ink.
Not expensive. It looks very good on the paper. Quick dry.

A very good basic ink
I normally use Diamine, J. Herbin, Lamy, Pelikan, Pilot, and Waterman inks. The price was right on this Parker Quink Black, so I decided to give it a try. I knew that this ink had been around forever, so it couldn't be terrible. I'm actually quite pleased with this ink. I wasn't looking for a waterproof or bulletproof ink, either (this ink is neither). Just a nice ink for journaling and taking down quick notes. Right now I'm using it in my Jinhao 601 with a fine/medium nib. My Jinhao is a bit of a wet pen, and I think that this Quink is a little on the dry side, so pen and ink work very well together. It's a nice black color with hints of blue, not super black but not particularly gray either. I didn't want a super black blackety black. I have a Sharpie and ballpoints for that. The black color will have a lot to do with your choice of pen and nib size. A fine-nibbed dry writer will make this ink appear grayer. This ink has become one of my top favorite inks. One thing I like about it that others may or may not like is that it shades. Yes, this black ink shades! Much like Montblanc Mystery Black, which I also like. The fact that this ink shades is a dead give away that I wrote something with a fountain pen, which is cool. There's just something about this ink that I really, really like. I have tried this ink in many of my pens and haven't been disappointed. This ink is not a super saturated ink like Noodler's with lots of bells and whistles, but I think this is what I like about it. Noodler's has its place, as does Parker Quink Black. This is one of those well-behaved inks that won't harm any pen. And, this ink is very, very easy to clean out of pens. Parker Quink Black has become an excellent go-to daily ink for me. Lately I have also been using this ink in my Parker Frontier with a fine nib and love the combo. Very smooth. Thumbs up!

One of the most reliable, good quality and least expensive of fountain pen inks.
Just as it should be; I've a long history of using Quink that goes back to the 1960's at a school, where it was mandatory to use an ink pen for all the submitted written work.I don't know if the formulation has changed, but it's just as it has always been... except for the price. Easy to clean the nib/fountain pen, color dependable, flows as expected depending on the pen nib.

Decent Blue-ish Ink
The ink itself is nice, flows well and all that, but this Blue Black ink is more like "Blue Blue Black." It's certainly not as dark as other blue black inks I've tried, it's more of a desaturated blue. I don't personally mind this since I got this as a everyday value ink.

Good Color, Good Flow in my Jotter
Works very well in my Parker Jotter with a Parker converter. I really like the color, it's a much darker and more "serious" tone than the electric blue of the standard blue Parker ink. I have a second Jotter that I'm using cartridges in, but once I use up my supply of cartridges I will switch that one over to bottled ink, too.

Quality, reliable, affordable
Parker inks have been available for decades and are proven to be fine, inexpensive and quality inks. Can’t go wrong. No fancy shimmer, or stuff to clog a nib. Highly recommended for any fountain pen.

Same quality as 50 years ago.
I used my first Quink 50 years ago. Same quality as back then.

EXTREMELY EASY CLEAN UP ON MY HANDS - WOW!!
This is now my favorite fountain pen ink.I'm under the impression that it is more water based than other Inks I have used before (such as Watermans.) Because of this, I am immediately noticing improved flow and ease of writing than before. But the biggest plus is that it doesn't leave lingering stains.JUST EXTREMELY EASY CLEAN UP ON MY HANDS - WOW!!To contrast, Watermans is gorgeous ink but leaves lingering stains on skin and table that is very difficult to remove. I've also tried the "Hongdian" brand of ink which is less attractive on paper and suffers the same cleanup issue as Watermans.Very pleased with this ink and will be purchasing it regularly from now on
