This thing is perfection. Worth every penny. There are no messy cords. I can confirm it will work with any other type of magnet you have although it comes with two in the box. It comes with a lovely bag for portability. It’s light weight, the touch controls are responsive and it even has gesture control to turn it on and off with a wave. It’s bright and has warm and cool color settings. This thing is perfect. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase I’m so pleased I’ve decided I will also purchase the halo light bar for my work from home setup as well. Thank you Benq!

The Benq LaptopBar monitor light is a high-quality, well-designed, and very functional product. It has improved my workspace while traveling. I no longer rely on poor hotel lamps to light my keyboard and work area. This laptop light bar adds enough light and can be adjusted to meet any need. It is my new favorite addition to my laptop bag.

The product description does a great job showing how you can very brightly light up your desktop workspace when using your laptop and this light. My use case is that I like to use the laptop on my lap on the couch, in an airplane or in bed while my wife is falling asleep. My laptop does not have a lighted keyboard, so I purchased this to provide help finding the keys while browsing or typing. Unfortunately, the light is far too bright and the dimming range of the BENQ laptop light is very limited. As a result, it is obtrusive to others. I believe that the dimming range could be improved by the designers, as it cycles to a very dim value while gracefully turning off. I've added translucent tape to try to cover most of the light, but this is a kludge, at best, to dim the light. I've sent a note to the manufacturer to see if they can help. If they do, I'll update this review. If not, then buyer beware.BENQ: I'm sure it would be a simple matter of modifying the dimming settings in the controller. Please consider this.

Light good but Quickly running out of battery, not suitable for me. Somewhat disappointed

I’m using this as a light bar on a Wacom tablet I have mounted on a monitor arm since it lets you magnetically attach it. Light spread is actually pretty good considering its size.

A great product that is worth every penny. A huge upgrade to my work environment.

I have a couple of benq light bars so was looking forward to trying this one out. I have the lenovo dual screen laptop and the battery messed with my screen. Also worried that it got very hot after using it for 2 hours.

Simply the most versatile light ever. From MacBook to iPad to razor thin gaming monitor. This is outstanding.
