Overall a sturdy and comfortable bed pillow
Well, I needed something to lay up against the wall while sitting on my bed and this bed pillow is perfect for that. It's not the most comfortable pillow it provides good enough back support. It's not soft like an actual pillow, but it's not supposed to be. Its job is to be sturdy and still enough to support your back while sitting on the floor or your bed without falling over and it does that easily. I'm happy that I made the purchase and it's worth the money considering I use it often. It looks good too and has a soft feel to it. The pillow itself is very sturdy so it won't fall over. It has great support for my neck also without the worry of any strain or discomfort. The only dislike would be that if you sit for long, it will be a bit uncomfortable on your back, but this can be fixed by placing a soft pillow in front of it for extra comfort. I found myself having to do this frequently and this tended to fix the issue. Other than that this pillow is great for sitting in bed watching tv, reading a book, or browsing on your computer. No more sitting my back up against a hard wall or trying to stand a pillow up to lay against. This is the ultimate bed rest pillow to suit your needs.

Definitely husband material.
At home, I typically work from my couch, as it's more comfortable than sitting at a desk, and I focus better there. I've been using the same reading pillow as an "office chair" for years, but it just doesn't offer the support I need anymore. After looking at all the other options out there, I settled on the Husband Pillow.I was unsure about whether to get the Medium or XXL, but as I'm 5'1" and use this on a couch, I thought the XXL might be too big. So I got the Medium, but would probably choose differently if I could do it again. The Husband Pillow definitely offers ample support compared to most. I'll even say the difference justifies the cost. The notes in the package said to give it 24-48 hours to fully expand, but mine was ready to use after about an hour. I did not put it in the dryer like some have suggested. Rather, I opened the outer cover and reached in to fluff up the foam.I will say that if you're looking for something super soft and squishy, the Husband Pillow might not be for you. It's pretty firm out of the box, and while you can add or remove filling to your taste, shredded memory foam doesn't have the same loft as the fiberfill in other pillows. The cover is plush, with beautiful, high quality fabric. I got the purple and LOVE the color. It's a true purple, not lilac or eggplant -- which it seems is surprisingly rare. The one thing I would change about the Husband Pillow, and the reason why I wish I got the bigger size, is the neck roll. In the pictures, it looks secure and integrated into the body of the pillow, like the headrest of a car seat. In real life, the pillow body has two sets of large buttons, and the neck roll attaches to them with an elastic loop that is cinched with a large lace lock. No matter how tightly the elastic is secured around the buttons, the neck roll just kinda flops around limply, providing no support unless it hangs over the body of the pillow or is propped against a headboard or wall. It would work a lot better if it could be attached more securely and tightly.Despite that one design issue, I am glad I found the Husband Pillow. No spouse is perfect, after all. ;)

Very comfy, great for long-time use
I am a person who loves to stay at home, in my room, in my bed. I'm often watching movies/TV on my laptop while I'm in my bed, or even working on things. I've had several of these back pillow things before, but those have been cheap ones that I get from a random store. They've never offered quite the amount of support I need, especially because they usually are not tall enough to come up all the way to my head, so I can't support my head on anything. Additionally, these are much less sturdy, and I've had some where the seams have ripped after a while. This one is a little pricier for a backrest pillow, but if you spend a lot of time reading/watching stuff/etc in bed, I definitely recommend this. It's a lot more comfortable than just trying to stack up some pillows and lean against that. In addition to this I have a very nice laptop stand that I use, and together with that it makes a perfect little office in bed!One thing I really like about this is that it has a little pillow support for your head, which you can adjust to be higher or lower depending on your preferences. The pillow is not super soft, which I like as it provides a lot of support. The arm rests are nice too. The stuff the pillow is filled with is malleable, so if you need more support in a certain area, you can sort of squish the pillow into the form you want. There is also a little pocket on one of the arm rests which is nice, as well as a pocket on the back of the pillow. The top of it has a handle which is useful for when I go to bed, I can easily put the pillow on the floor. It is a little heavier than your regular backrest pillow, probably because of the stuff it's filled with. But overall, I have been using this thing for a while now, and I definitely recommend it. Even after hours sitting in bed reading or using my phone/computer, it still provides support and comfort. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is a homebody like me, or who likes to work/read/watch TV a lot in their bed!Update Oct 2023: It has been 4 years since I purchased this back pillow. I do not regret a thing. The only negative thing that has happened is that the handle on top of the pillow broke, due to the weight of the pillow. It doesn't bother me as I just grab the pillow to put it onto the floor. But it may be something to think about if you struggle with the heaviness of the pillow. I have not tried to re-sew the handle back on as I do not need this function. But I am sure that it is possible. Highly recommend this pillow, especially if you have back/neck pain.
