Skip the kindle, grab this.
Right out of the box this thing was faster than the Kindle it replaced. My kindle was so slow every time I wanted to do anything, so I got a real Android tablet. What a difference. I am greeted by my lockscreen of choice, instead of yet another ad for things I do not want that the kindle uses for the lockscreen unless you pay to have it removed. Webpages open quickly. The screen is nice. The battery life is robust. I can read multiple books prior to charging now versus the kindle that beeped for low battery, seemingly every time I got to the good part in a book. Where the kindle was a pain to charge, it seemed like you had to hold your tongue just right to get it to charge; this tablet plugs in nicely and securely. I am 42, and take good care of my equipment, so I was quite annoyed at the poor quality charging system on the kindle. It is nice to be able to access the Google play store as well. Being tied into the Amazon ecosystem for your app choices may be a good strategy for Amazon to sell their own apps, but that same policy and the bloated operating system convinced me to upgrade to this device. After two months I am still very happy with this, and even more happy at the low price.

Top value for a device not to spend on
Tablets are kinda a commodity, right? Unless you're a business using it as a sales device, or a pro photographer with a huge portfolio, or addicted to specific hiFi tablet-only games, consider what you'll use it for. There's a great chance this tablet is all you need for that use. It's big, it's nice to look at, it isn't slow to load pictures (although it's not instant), and it runs your most common apps well enough.I thought the resolution would be a downside for Netflix etc but, no complaints. A tablet is all screen, so it's good that brightness and viewing angles are also good.I think that at this price the tablet is ownable. Tablets seem like a risk to me. I've seen too many broken iPad's and broke 2 android tablets myself.. A bleeding-edge or expensive tablet discourages actually using it. It's BIG too so you feel like you have something much more expensive, without feeling like you need to keep it high on a shelf.I prefer it over Kindle as well for stock Android. Mine came with the advertised amount of ram (2GB) and was $119 at the time, and that definitely pushed me over the edge to getting it. Great product!

You get what you pay for
This tablet is just okay --it's one of those you get what you pay for deals. My boyfriend and I both had Lenovo tablets before so we went ahead and got one again. There's no flash on the camera, you cannot cast content to a smart TV, and many apps that I download from Google Play say "This device is not optimized for this app." I paid $160 for it. It got here fast, it runs fast, the screen is nice, so I might buy Lenovo again but I would not recommend it to someone else.

"retired by manufacture ... NO WARRANTY "
Tablet is an older generation with relatively up to date Android ... Its not an Workhorse but for light use and quick fun definitely is ... but there is an catch " Tablet is obsolete and retired by manufacture, even when you buy it it's already out of any warranty beside 30 days return policy from seller " so if nothing happens within 30 days you are good to go on your own because seller doesn't want even to talk about it ... bought 3 of them and one failed 40 days after purchase and all that i can do, is toss into the garbage .. still fighting with amazon and seller because of that issue !!! So if you have to pay a little bit more go and get something else ... Once more Tablet is "retired by manufacture ... NO WARRANTY "

It's at the shop now!
At first, I loved my new tablet. I bought it because we had bought another Lenovo about 2 years ago and have had no problems with it. The new tablet worked fine for about 6 weeks. Then one night I touched the screen and got a kaleidoscope. I turned the tablet off and on several times only to keep getting the kaleidoscope. I did 2 factory resets. Still got the kaleidoscope. When I called customer service (I could hardly understand the person who answered) he told me to do a factory reset after I had told him I had already done 2. On my second call to customer service, with a person who spoke the language, I finally got a case number to return the tablet. Now I sit and wait for it to return. We'll just have to see if the refurbed one works. I know that's what they will send even though I paid for a new one.Update: The factory couldn't find a problem with my tablet so they sent it back to me after 3 weeks. Within a few hours, it became a brick. I cannot get it to open at all. I am currently on the phone with someone who cannot speak English trying to get a replacement.

Seller resolved bad tablet - User resolved percieved slowness, Tablets are great value!!!
My first review was 1 star very upset about these tablets being slow and one failed after factory reset and kept dropping the UI interface. I sent it back and got a replacement. I had put 64 gig cards in both as extra HHD space instead of mobile/removable card for pictures and video. I set the new one up as removable and it worked so well I reset the other and now both are working as they should. All those 1 star guys need to reconfigure their memory card because that is making it slow. The seller resolved the replacement with great follow up she needs kudos for her customer service. She made it right all the way around

True 2GB Faster Great screen resolution Best ever for everyday use,Silk Soft touch screen
I like screen size, clear HD Screen. Best Sound but speakers are on back side so using tablet without cover sound volume is low. With perfect cover which cover back side, sound volume comes loud. Camera is best and auto focus. Battery life is good. I used mostly for watching YouTube video, checking weather, reading news, Skype. Never had any problem. Running smoothly all app. IT DOES HAS TRUE 2GB MEMORY. GO FOR IT.
