From a design standpoint, the Shokz OpenDots One measure up quite well.They fit my ears as well and, which are quite comfortable.They have a flexible connector that Shokz refers to as a JointArc and says "provides a gentle yet secure grip on various ear shapes" while noting that "soft silicone strategically placed on the exterior of the speaker further minimizes pressure, even during extended wear." As with all clip-on buds, the OpenDots One, as their name implies, feature an open design. That means the bud and driver sit over your ear canal.Open buds allow for sound to leak into your ears or want to hear the outside world around them for safety reasons. The OpenDots One offer a secure fit and work well for runners. They have an IP54 rating, which means they'll provide protection from "light rain and sweat" and are also dust-resistant.The touch controls take some to get used to. You can either tap the battery compartment or JointArc or "pinch" the battery with two fingers to control playback and answer/end calls. You can set the long tap and hold gesture to either adjust volume, activate your voice assistant or advance tracks forward and back.Shokz says the OpenDots One feature its Bassphere technology that "combines dual 11.8 mm drivers in a spherical module to replicate the performance of a 16mm driver." They also feature Dolby Audio and Shokz' DirectPitch technology, which minimizes sound leakage so people near you can't hear what you're listening to (or hear it very faintly anyway). You have to engage Dolby Audio in the Shokz App for iOS and Android and it does open the sound a bit and everything sound a tad fuller. It's simply some form of digital processing and it's unclear whether it impacts battery life but you can hear a difference when engaging it. The sound of all clip-on buds changes slightly with how you position the buds on your ears (you can slide the bud up or down a bit to find the most comfortable fit but the positioning may impact sound quality).The OpenDots One have "Dynamic Ear Detection" that allows the earbuds to automatically recognize which bud is in which ear, so no left or right markers are needed. They link with the Shokz App for iOS and Android, which "enables multipoint pairing between two devices, 4 pre-set EQ modes plus two personalized EQ, Find My Earbuds and more."Bluetooth: 5.4 and Dolby AudioThe OpenDots One are rated for up to 10 hours of use on on a single charge, with an additional 30 hours of battery in the charging case, which does feature wireless charging.These are my everyday earbuds along with my Edifier Lolliclips which I carry for backup.Both are Extremly great.I have the black and now I will be ordering the Grey ones.

I am not one to leave a bunch of reviews, but these are great earbuds. My use case is work, 9+ hours a day, with VOIP calls through my computer as well as the usual assortment of Zoom/Teams video calls, streaming music or accepting private calls from by cellphone, and in-person discussions throughout the day. I am constantly in search of better options for open earbuds. The Anker OpenFit line is good. However, until these came out, I kept returning to the Shokz OpenComm. These are somehow even more comfortable than the OpenComm. I do not really notice they are on. Good battery life, good sound quality, adequate microphone. Besides being the most comfortable option for all day wear, they manage the multipoint shuffle better than anything I previously used, even without a dongle and with the notoriously bad Microsoft Bluetooth implementation. They often switch between computer and phone without me noticing, they reconnect well when I walk out of and back into range, and if they happen to not reconnect to a device, one tap gets the job done.

This is my first time using an open-ear headphone set, and it's absolutely worth it! It came nicely packed with a complimentary protective case, a type-c charging cable and a super easy-to-follow user guide. The earbuds are incredibly lightweight, non-invasive and very comfortable! I can wear them for hours without any discomfort or the annoying feeling of something pulling my ears. Sometimes I even forget I have them on! Despite the light weight, the earbuds fit snugly and stay in place well. I've wore them while running or exercising and they never budged. There are also touch controls on earbuds that are smart, sensitive and responsive, which are pretty convenient.The sound quality really surprises me for an open-ear design! Everything sounds clear and well-balanced, and whether I'm listening to music, podcasts or taking calls it delivers great experience. One time I was vacuuming while on a call with a friend, and we could both hear each other clearly, no background noise in the way!Since it's open-ear, you don't expect noise canceling but that's the point. You can stay aware of the surroundings which is great for both safety and social interactions. What's really impressive is how little sound they leak. I tested with friends and they can hear minimal audio only when very close and at high volume (which you'd rarely need anyway). I've been wearing them at work where I need to stay aware but not disturbing others, and they've been perfect. Battery is another big PLUS! I've been able to use them for days without having to recharge the case.So if you are looking for a light, comfy and high-quality pair of headphones (not demanding noise canceling), this is an excellent choice. And I'd definitely recommend it!

The OpenDots are actually very nice! Compared to the Bose version, they come in at a cheaper price and almost the same sound quality. The comfort is all day long on my left ear, but on the right ear it tends start getting some fatigue. Battery life is good and the case gives you more juice if needed. The super cheap paper bag that Shocks provides to store your case in is garbage and you might as well throw it away because it will tear easily after one use. No charging block, but, they did provide a super short charging USBC cord. For the price paid as of this review, $213.95 is steep, but it’s cheaper than the Bose competitor. However, for $30 more the Bose version can be purchased and have better sound quality. That’s honestly the only 3 cons for these Buds, the cheap storage case paper bag, price and sound compared to Bose. However, the sound is still amazing if you don’t compare to Bose.
